Plettenberg Bay’s artistic soul was on full display as the Plett Arts Festival brought together the best of creativity, culture, and coastal charm. The festival opened with the Twilight Meander, where locals and visitors strolled through town, exploring galleries, performances, and installations that turned Main Street into a living, breathing canvas.

From the rhythmic energy of the Abahlanyisi and Kranshoek Riel Dancers to the whimsical stilt walkers swaying in the sea breeze, and the soulful beats of Wafi from Lunchbox Theatre, every moment celebrated connection and imagination. As night fell, the sounds of live music and laughter carried into Plett’s restaurants, pop-up venues, and galleries — each offering its own warm welcome, much like the spirit we hold dear at Bayview.

The week’s programme was as diverse as it was inspiring: bronze-pouring demonstrations, forest performances by Wendy Oldfield, jazz at The Palms, full moon meditations, and intimate tributes such as Auriol Hays’ Nina Simone Introspective and The Eva Cassidy Story. Workshops invited creativity at every level — from ceramics and mosaic to cyanotype printing and mindful drawing.

The Plett Arts Festival once again proved why our seaside town continues to captivate the hearts of travellers and locals alike — a perfect blend of culture, community, and coastal beauty. At Bayview Hotel, we’re proud to celebrate the artistry that makes Plettenberg Bay such a remarkable destination, and we look forward to welcoming festival-goers to experience our own brand of creativity — in comfort, care, and four-star style.
